Eriksen is now training with old club Ajax and reports say he is close to signing for Brentford.

Eriksson suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at last summer’s European Championships and was put in a defibrillator, but he can no longer fight for it due to Italy’s strict regulations on the heart health of professional athletes. Inter Milan debuted, and the two sides then negotiated to terminate the contract.

Eriksen can still play in the Premier League under current FA rules, with reports that Brentford are working hard to sign him.

It is reported that Brentford wants to sign Eriksen for half a year, and they hope that the Denmark international can increase the team’s hopes of relegation.

Now, Eriksen is training with his old club Ajax to stay in shape and prepare for a return to professional football.

Eriksen, who has made more than 160 appearances for Ajax, said he was delighted to be back here. It feels like coming home because I have been here for many years, all the facilities are available and I can train at a high level with the youth team.”

“It’s the perfect foundation for me at the moment and I want to get back to my best as soon as possible so that when I find a new team I can play as quickly as possible.”

Ajax youth coach John Heitinga said: “If a former player or academy player knocks on the door, we will definitely welcome them home.”

“It’s really great that Eriksen can train with us, he’s a role model and an inspiration for many Ajax youth players.”
